Robert has worked for over 15 years as a freelance Digital Media Producer, Director and Editor with a variety of commercial and corporate partners like American Express, Unilever, the Wall Street Journal and Conde Nast, to provide creative content and stylized storytelling that strengthens brands. His critical skills include script writing and analysis, content research, non-linear video editing, and coordination of all aspects of a film shoot. With related experience as an independent film producer, He offers insight to improving productivity and reduce costs on client projects, developing professional, creative and impactful productions. As manager of a boutique creative shop Rob believes Nexus stands alone as producer of content and creative storytelling.
Key Creative Artist, Storyboard
David has been working in the commercial and movie industry as a Storyboard Artist and Concept Designer before joining Nexus Media in 2010, . He has the skills to create sequences and storyboards and puts a lot of his talent in realizing artworks and inspirational sketches. All his drawings and concept designs have a strong cinematographic touch that drives home the Nexus point to show a story don’t tell one. David began a strong and fruitful collaboration working on Robert Orlando’s feature projects, and has since joined the team with Nexus Media as Key Creative Artist. According to Orlando “His vision and his cinematic experience are determinant in finding the right visual solutions.” “And His enthusiasm is a precious asset in teamwork and he is very capable of leading the creative group from concept to completion straight to its target.”
Photography, Photoshop Expert
Javier has been a photographer involved with various digital mediums as part of a special effects photo studio in New York City, and then as a Photoshop expert at a service Bureau in Central New Jersey before joining Nexus in 2013. His stock images have been sold worldwide through TSM and Corbis. With Nexus, he already transformed his 2d skills in photography into the 3d purposes of cinematic filmmaking, combining photos with sketched, graphics and artwork created by the Nexus team. At times working with the Director to create a world out of whole cloth. Orlando says, “with Javier on the team, our Nexus imagination has no limit, if we can envision it we can make it! Nexus understand the modern world of blending digital mediums and on line communications and Javier is a lethal asset at Nexus, to create numerous storytelling worlds!
Sound Design, Composer
John is an award-winning composer of music for film, television, and the concert stage has worked with Nexus since 2008 on series of shorts and features. Along with his ongoing work with a variety of Nexus clients John’s music is featured in many popular television series, films, and national advertising campaigns, as well as performed by leading musicians and ensembles, including premieres in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York. He has received awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, BMI (concert music and TV/film), ASCAP, Meet The Composer, and the Barlow Foundation, among others. A Doctoral graduate of The Juilliard School, John’s work is praised as “continually fascinating, a kinetic tour de force” (The San Francisco Classical Voice), “steely and hard edged” (The Los Angeles Times), which can be heard in many advertisement spots, including Hewlett-Packard, LG, Pfizer, Mariott, Simmons, etc. John’s ear for music and sound design is well suited for Nexus’s creative vision and cinematic expertise. Orlando claims, “it is John’s ears that round out the full sense of vision at the heart of all our productions.”
Senior Video Editor, Motion Graphics Designer
Paul has been working with Nexus since 2010 as senior Video Editor and Motion Graphics Designer. Based out of the Princeton/PA region he has handled all aspects of post production at the Nexus edit suites serving as motion graphic artist on projects for Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Ortho McNeil Pharmaceuticals, AT&T, and Bristol Meyer Squibb. Whether it's Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Media Encoder, or MS Office, Paul knows hows to execute for clients.
Graphic Designer, Web Design
Silvia has recently joined Nexus Media but has been passionate about visual arts and a graphic design since 1999. Her international experiences offers Nexus a wide range from internal to external collaborations with agencies, companies, design studios, and institutions. From 2005 she has also worked as a teacher of Adobe Creative softwares. Her goal with Nexus is to keep providing high quality services and to customers, along with innovative creative design for the team.
Account Executive, Project Coordinator
Alyssa recently joined Nexus as an Account Executive and Project Coordinator to help serve Nexus’ growing client portfolio.
She has a background in market research where she spent several years in a client-facing role, managing copy testing studies for companies such as Anheuser-Busch InBev. Alyssa is dedicated to providing quality services to clients through her commitment to project organization and execution.
Editor, Writer, Consultant
Ila is an editor/writer/consultant with experience in the world of publishing: as features and travel editor at Harper’s Bazaar; editor-in-chief of Travel & Leisure and Food & Wine. She was a contributing writer at Departures and Town & Country. In her role as magazine start-up consultant she worked with Hearst, the New York Times magazine division and Meredith Corporation, where she consulted on the development of More magazine before joining the staff as managing editor. Now, working with Nexus Media and Robert Orlando she's expanding her horizons only into media branding but into books and films, where once she was just a devoted fan.
